This policy explains how Gorilla Maths handles information when you use the Gorilla Maths iOS app on the App Store and the website at gorillamaths.com.

Who we are

Gorilla Maths iOS app

The App Store iOS app is an on-device recovery loop for Foundation linear equations. It does not require an account and does not send your practice data to our servers. Tapping Privacy Policy or Support in Settings opens this website in Safari; that is the only network use, and it does not include practice data.

• Stored on your device only: skill progress (for example “did it alone”), optional exam date, settings (captions, narration, haptics), and a local session log you can export from Settings. These stay in on-device storage.
• We do not collect: name, email, location, contacts, photos, payment info, advertising IDs, analytics identifiers, or crash reports in this app.
• No third-party ads or tracking SDKs are included.
• Deletion: Settings → Delete all my data clears progress and the session log on that device. Uninstalling the app also removes this data.

Website & classroom web app (gorillamaths.com)

The website also hosts a separate teacher-led classroom product. Where you use that product:

• Teachers may sign in with Google (name, email, and profile image as provided by Google for authentication).
• Students join with a class code and choose a nickname and PIN; practice attempts and class membership are stored so the class can function.
• Hosting infrastructure may process technical data such as IP address and request logs as needed to run the service securely.

If you only download the iOS app and do not use the classroom website, the classroom processing above does not apply to you.

Children and education

The iOS app is intended for secondary-school pupils preparing for maths exams, and for teachers or parents who support them. We do not use the iOS app to build marketing profiles of children. We do not place this app in Apple’s Kids Category.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact info@ofclay.co. For the iOS app, use Delete all my data in Settings, or delete the app, to remove on-device progress.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product grows. We will post the new version at this URL with an updated date.
